About Host
Scroll Stop is an independent co-working space designed to meet the needs of creative practitioners. The 188 sqm facility houses 8 large workstations, a photography studio with green-screen backdrop, open-plan film studio, podcast recording room, screening/review station and recreational spaces. Music is gently played in the background throughout the day, temperatures are kept cool with air conditioning, and a warm sense of community is paramount within the space.
Scroll Stop is designed with a simple philosophy - “a place to create”. You walk in with an idea, you walk out with a finished project. Whether you need a place to meet, plan, develop, shoot, edit or publish, Scroll Stop can help you bring your project to life.
The photography studio is a 3.7 x 6.4m space with adjustable diffused overhead lighting, backdrop rolls including chroma key/green screen, change room, clothing rack, and hair & makeup desks. Ideal for shoots involving 1-3 subjects, the space is flexible and has been used for visual effects projects, promotional and fashion shoots, and headshots.
The open-plan film studio is an 8.2 x 4.7m space able to accommodate shoots with up to 10 subjects. With adjustable curtains and plenty of floor space - this studio is ideal for temporary sets, interviews, dance & movement pieces, and artistic works. It is currently utilised as a cold-hire facility, though there are plans
to evolve the space with overhead sound capture.
The podcasting studio is a 4.3 x 3.6m stylish sound treated room, housing a 2-microphone podcasting setup with audio interface and workstation. The space is designed to allow freedom of movement and flexibility of use, with capability to shoot video podcasts and host conference calls. As podcasting is an ever-growing industry, the space is designed to allow creators a professionally equipped studio to enhance the quality of their online contributions.
The 11.7 x 6.1m main hall is home to themed workstations, a review station, general amenities, and breakout/recreational areas. There are three styles of workstations available: 4 x 4K HDR setups, 2 x
1080p setups and 2 x empty desks. The 4K setups also house a Thunderbolt 4 dock, Headphones, Keyboard, Mouse, and Desk Pad. They are currently designed to be operated with a customer’s computer as the host pc/mac.
